cooperation : the mini course | the whole 5 days

shutterstock_415126921-1Hi!

You have chosen to get the whole 5 day mini-course in one dose–so here it is!

day 01 | punish less

We need to motivate our kids, not punish them, to get them to cooperate. Ditch the “empty threats” and time-outs.

day 02 | first-then

Replace the punishment with the First-Then principle. This magical rule is a bribe free way to gain cooperation on the spot. This is my go-to move at home.

day 03 | visual timer

When the going gets tough, pull out the visual timer. This app provides a visual cue and consistency of which kids can relate.

day 04 | give evidence

This strategy is the best, because it’s all about capitalizing on a teachable moment. Show them why you are asking them to do what you do.

day 05 | happy ending

Sometimes our bodies communicate things without us realizing them. If we reign in the tension, we will get calm and cooperative kids.

Bring your questions and feedback over to the Facebook groupWishing you many cooperative days ahead!
