four simple things #06

untitled-design-56What we are eating: Blender Muffins

A friend introduced these and they are so darn simple and gluten-free/nut-free. I cut the sweetener in half and add a half-cup of blueberries and teaspoon of cinnamon. If you skip the honey altogether you can give these to babies.

What we are playing: Lotus Travel Crib

If this video doesn’t warm your heart and make you dream happy, idealist parenting dreams, I don’t know what will. But for real, this is one of my favorite pieces of baby gear. It’s fantastic for travel and right now it’s serving as a brief play area for the baby while I get my work-out on in the mornings.

What I am wearing: Hi-Rise Skinny Jeans

It’s nice to be wearing real jeans again post-baby. I only own two pairs of jeans and they are both this style from Madewell. I love how stretchy they are.

What I am pondering: Morning routine

I am constantly trying to improve upon and stabilize my family’s morning routine. It’s important that it is predictable, calm, and efficient. As summer comes to a close and fall begins that means making some tweaks. I will be talking about our morning routine on Facebook Live soon–follow Simple Families to be sure you are staying in the loop.

Cheers to a happy weekend!
